HISTORY:

Restaurant ''Svatá Klára" originally a wine cellar on one of the Prague vineyards is neighbouring with the baroque castle Troja. Prague wine has been grown here, whose shrubs were brought here in XIV. century by emperor Charles IV. The name of the wine bar Saint Claire relates to the patroness and monstrance of the nearby church. According to the archival records the wine cellar was established from the original cave gallery located 16 meters under the surface. After the completion of the Troja castle construction the cellar was used by count Václav Vojtěch from Šternberk as a wine depository. Today after a sensitive reconstruction with regard to the historical roots and tradition there was a unique restaurant established furnished with antique furniture, baroque statues, period pictures and Persian carpets. A dominant fireplace with calming fire and pleasant music create atmosphere that can sastify even the most demanding guest.
Our rich menu with a wide range of Czech and foreign wines is the best requirement for "Svatá Klára" to become holy and true gourmet home.
