"In Svatá Klára the night isn't over even when morning arrives!"

Restaurant ''Svatá Klára" originally a wine cellar on one of the Prague vineyards is neighbouring with the baroque castle Troja. Prague wine has been grown here, whose shrubs were brought here in XIV. century by emperor Charles IV. The name of the wine bar Saint Claire relates to the patroness and monstrance of the nearby church. According to the archival records the wine cellar was established from the original cave gallery located 16 meters under the surface. After the completion of the Troja castle construction the cellar was used by count Václav Vojtěch from Šternberk as a wine depository.
